As they prepare for their final season at Turner Field, the Braves are bringing back their old winter FanFest event Jan. 30 at the ballpark.

Instead of holding a caravan like they’ve had in recent years around Atlanta and neighboring states, the Braves will hold the single, large-scale free event at Turner Field on the last Saturday in January. It’ll run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and feature autograph sessions, tours, panel discussions and photo stations.

“We are opening the doors to Turner Field this winter to give fans an intimate experience in the ballpark and kick off the final season celebrations,” said Braves vice president of marketing Adam Zimmerman said in a news release.

Autograph sessions throughout the day will include current and former Braves players and broadcasters. Maps will be provided at the ballpark with locations for specific players’ autograph stations around Turner Field.

Fans will be invited to panel discussions with current and former players, prospects, and front-office members, to be held in the 755 Club at Turner Field.

There will be a little kids’ reading room set up in the 755 Club, and youths 14 and younger can participate in a kids-only “press conference,” plus interact with the Home Depot tools and go to a book reading by a Braves player.

As part of the event, the Braves will also have a winter clothing drive to benefit the Atlanta Mission. Fans are asked to donate new or “gently used” coats, boots, gloves, scarves, hats, blankets, socks, long sleeve shirts, pants, sweaters, umbrellas and ponchos. Those can be dropped off at the entrance.

Parking will be free at the Green Lot across from Turner Field. Additional details will be released later. Please go to www.Braves.com/fanfest for more information.
