Population:

Atlanta metropolitan area: 5,710,795

Green Bay metropolitan area: 306,241

Analyis: Green Bay is actually a pretty big city. But nowhere near as big as Atlanta, where, let’s face it, a plague could wipe out half the population in Atlanta and you’d still be stuck in traffic. Actually it’s more likely that a plague would wipe out 50 percent of Green Bay because the CDC is located in Atlanta and the locals would all be first in line for the cure.

Winner: Atlanta.

Tallest Building

Atlanta: Bank of America Plaza, 1,024 feet high (55 stories)

Green Bay: Lambeau Field, home of the Packers, 232 feet high (roughly 13 stories)

Analysis: Lambeau Field only became the tallest building in 2015, when an expansion finally vaulted it 18 feet over the previous tallest building—the local sewage treatment plant.

Winner: By only 42 stories (and a sewage treatment plant), Atlanta.

Signature Stock

Atlanta: The Coca Cola Company. Today there are 4.3 billion public shares, although it’s not known how many individuals own stock.

Green Bay: Green Bay Packers Inc., a publicly owned, nonprofit corporation. Today, 360,760 people (representing 5,011,558 shares) are owners of the iconic franchise.

Analysis: Admittedly, it’s cool to be a Packers “owner.” But that stock’s really no good anywhere except at Lambeau Field. But Coke stock rules the world, as literally every fast food place has one of those machines where you can mix Mr. Pibb, Fresca and Diet Coke Cherry into one fabulous drink.

Winner: Atlanta

Airport

Atlanta: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, aka “The World’s Busiest Airport.” Averages more than 2,500 flights daily, including 60 international flights.

Green Bay: Austin Straubel International Airport, aka “Not the World’s Busiest Airport.” Serves around 30 flights a day, although none are direct international flights.

Analysis: One of the three airlines serving Austin Straubel is Delta, which is headquartered in, that’s right, Atlanta! So not only does Atlanta make money off of the good flying people of Green Bay every single day, Hartsfield-Jackson also has Ludacris’s Chicken+Beer restaurant!

Winner: Oh, please. Atlanta.

Famous locals

Atlanta: Martin Luther King Jr., Margaret Mitchell, Jimmy Carter, Ted Turner, Tyler Perry, Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Whitney Houston, Bobby Jones, Ludacris.

Green Bay: Actor Tony “Monk” Tony Shalhoub grew up there, and “Mystery Science Theater 3000” creator Joel Hodgson.

Analysis: Shalhoub’s three Emmys for playing “Monk” are impressive. But maybe a smidge less impressive than the two Nobel Peace Prizes awarded to Atlantans (King and Carter). And again, Chicken+Beer!

Winner: Atlanta
