Owning a home is the goal of most adults, but it can be daunting for many. The Georgia Nurses Association wants to help make it easier for health care workers.

GNA recently partnered with Homes for Heroes to help health care professionals save time and money when buying, selling or refinancing a home.

Through the program, all eligible heroes — including nurses — can maximize savings on a home, with the average person saving about $2,400. There are additional savings available from real estate agents, loan officers, title companies, home inspectors and others.

Since 2009, Homes for Heroes has helped more than 48,000 people save more than $86 million on their real estate transactions, sold more than $12 billion in real estate to heroes, actively partnered with more than 4,200 like-minded real estate and mortgage professionals who’ve joined in the mission, and donated more than $977,000 to heroes in need through the Homes for Heroes Foundation.

In addition to helping you save money, Homes for Heroes will make a donation to the Georgia Nurses Foundation for every professional who uses the Hero Rewards program through the GNA’s page on the Homes for Heroes website.

The Georgia Nurses Foundation is the charitable and philanthropic arm of the Georgia Nurses Association. GNF supports GNA and its work to foster the welfare and well-being of nurses, and to promote and advance the nursing profession, thereby enhancing the health of the public.

“We were very excited about this partnership when Greg first mentioned it to me,” GNA CEO Matt Caseman said. “At GNA, we are constantly seeking for ways to not only advance the nursing profession in Georgia, but also to take care of our nurses. And helping them buy, refinance or sell their houses and get rewarded for it is just an amazing way to do so.”

Greg Cecchettini, director of strategic partnerships at Homes for Heroes, added: “In our mission to thank every hero in the nation, partnering with the GNA allows both our organizations to work together to give back to those who work tirelessly every day to keep us all healthy and safe. We are looking forward to working with GNA members on their next real estate transaction.”
