A Siberian tiger was supposed to have a guest for lunch, literally.
But a goat, intended to be a meal for the big cat, has turned into a companion.
The bullheaded goat didn't show fear when it entered the tiger's enclosure. Instead it looked directly at the cat and took over its shelter, moves that park workers have said was "very brave" on the part of the goat.
The cat has been seen sitting on top of the rocks since the goat moved into the covering, The Siberian Times reported.
"The brave goat not only saved his own life. He kicked the tiger out of his bedroom and is sleeping on Amur's 'bed' for the fourth night," workers told The Siberian Times.
They have named the goat Timur.
Workers said that the unlikely pair take walks together every day.
"Timur the goat has taken Amur for a leader and follows him everywhere."
