Ryan Lochte: Olympic swimmer, once platinum blond person-who-was-maybe-robbed-but-also-possibly-not and America’s greatest movie critic.

On Aug. 14, Lochte claimed that he and three other U.S. swimmers -- including Jack Conger, former Longhorn Jimmy Feigen and Gunnar Bentz -- had been robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro by someone posing as a police officer. In the following days, the veracity of Lochte's claims were called into question by Brazilian officials. The Associated Press on Thursday reported that Conger told police that Lochte fabricated the robbery narrative.

But over the years he has also garnered a reputation in pop culture as a man with what some have called "enthusiasm in place of intellectual prowess." A reality show called "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" attempted to answer the titular question in amusing ways, and the swimmer famously lampooned his image as an "idiot" on "30 Rock."

Adding to his reel of notable accomplishments is Lochte's commitment to movie reviews. In late June, Buzzfeed staff writer Grace Spelman unearthed the swimmer's thoughts on various movies, many of which he deemed funny or good with lots of "haha"s and "jeah"s.

Roger Ebert would be proud.
