A man in Mississippi fed up with potholes staged a humorous photo that addresses a serious problem in his community.

Daniel Trussel told WJTV that potholes have plagued Jackson for quite some time, and phone calls and written complaints haven't seemed to help. In hopes of catching the attention of city leaders, he staged a photo in one of the potholes.

While Trussel was driving to a friend's house Tuesday, he came across an eight-foot deep pothole. Trussel jumped into the pothole filled with water and posted the photo on Instagram, with the caption, "Chillin in my new hot tub. #jacksonlife."

Trussel hopes that in addition to providing a good laugh, city leaders will be prompted to take action and fix Jackson's road issues.
