The plumber reportedly screamed and then found out that her auger had been stuck in the iguana.

It was the first time in the plumber's 12 years of unclogging toilets that a lizard had been in the pipes.

Iguanas are common in the neighborhood, and this one had probably jumped from the tree onto the roof, then crawled down a pipe.

The iguana did not survive the ordeal.

The family sealed off the pipe to prevent any further reptile invasions.
