It’s a simple hug between a little boy and a police officer, but video of the encounter is melting hearts everywhere.

Jamie Hubbard told KDFW that she took her 3-year-old son T.J. to McDonald's on a rainy day last week and ran into a police officer enjoying a meal in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hubbard said her son is a huge motorcycle fan and joked about riding the officer’s motorcycle. Since that obviously was not going to happen, the officer braved the storm to get a sticker of a police badge for T.J.

T.J. is very shy and rarely gives out hugs, Hubbard told KDFW, but he wanted to hug the police officer to thank him.

Hubbard captured the touching moment on video and posted it to social media where it has been shared thousands of times.
