A cleanup effort is underway after 150 gallons of diesel fuel spilled on I-985 South in Hall County Wednesday evening, authorities said.

According to Hall County sheriff’s spokesman Derreck Booth, a jack-knifed tractor-trailer caused the spill near mile marker nine after hitting a guardrail.

The incident had caused all lanes to shut down for about an hour, according to the WSB 24-Hour Traffic Center.

Deputies, Hall County Fire Services, a HERO unit and the Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance Division are responding to the incident, Booth said. He added that there were no injuries.
