1. PROTESTERS UNITE: Our Facebook post about two protest groups uniting was shared more than 740,000 times and reached more than 80 million people. During a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas just days after an ambush attack that killed five police officers, a counter-protest started across the street. But instead of continuing to protest across from each other, a representative from each group met in the middle. The two groups united, hugged and prayed together for their city.
2. SCORE OF A LIFETIME: Our Facebook post about a boy with Down syndrome who scored a touchdown for his mother was shared more than 400,000 times and reached nearly 58 million people.The boy, named Robby Heil, was the team's water boy. His mother, who is battling an advanced form of cancer, was in the stands to watch it happen.
3. HURRICANE MATTHEW: Our Facebook video of a massive tree crashing to the ground in Jacksonville was shared more than 175,000 times and reached nearly 24 million people. The massive storm moved up the coast of Florida and Georgia before making landfall in South Carolina. Hurricane Matthew caused major flooding and power outages across the Georgia coast.
4. "MARY, DID YOU KNOW?" Video of Georgia high school students singing in the hallway during a tornado warning reached 22.5 million people. As tornadoes moved through metro Atlanta, schools began to shelter in basements and hallways. At Bremen High School, the chorus class decided to continue practicing through the tornado, singing the Christmas song "Mary, Did You Know?"
5. RNC FIST BUMPS: Facebook video of a little girl fist-bumping officers outside the Republican National Convention reached more than 18.5 million people on the WSB-TV Facebook page. The girl's mother said her kids wanted to show their thanks to the officers in Cleveland for keeping everyone safe.
6. PHIFE DAWG TRIBUTE: Channel 2 Traffic Reporter Mark Arum's tribute to Phife Dawg the morning after the rapper's death reached nearly 18 million people. Arum was a fan of A Tribe Called Quest and Phife Dawg for years and wanted to honor the 45-year-old artist. Arum, along with Channel 2's Fred Blankenship, slipped several Phife Dawg references into his morning traffic reports -- and the result was loved by ATCQ fans across the country.
7. GENTLE GIANT: A Facebook video about an Atlanta police officer's friendship with a homeless man reached more than 16 million people. Jimmy James Brown, known as the Gentle Giant, lives behind a store in Atlanta. He is so big that normal clothing donations don't fit him. With the help of the officer, Brown received boxes of clothing from the Atlanta Hawks and shoes from Shaquille O'Neal.
8. BEST TEACHER EVER? Atlanta's Ron Clark went viral earlier this year when he recorded the "Do It Like Me Challenge" with his students at Ron Clark Academy. The video on our WSB-TV Facebook page reached 15.6 million people -- and you can see why.
9. END OF WATCH: More than 70,000 people shared the End Of Watch graphic for Riverdale Maj. Greg Barney, who was killed in the line of duty in February while serving a no-knock warrant.
10. BOLD KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT: Video of someone attempting to kidnap a 4-year-old girl right in front of her mother reached more than 10 million people on the WSB-TV Facebook page. The mother was standing in line at a store with her younger child in her arms when someone reached through the door and tried to pull the 4-year-old girl outside. The mother and bystanders sprang into action and saved the child.
