Why do we always have more money for new wars and weapons, but not enough for Social Security and world-class education?

  To the Publix customer whose little dog jumped out of your car in the congested parking lot and somehow managed to make it into the store looking for you: A conscientious employee was able to pick up the dog and hold him for safekeeping while several others tracked you down. He could have been run over, not to mention the fact that he should not have been left in a hot car in the first place!

Where do Lindsay Graham and John McCain get off rattling their sabers and demanding military intervention in Syria, especially after the trillion-dollar debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan?

It's funny how commercial fishermen and sports fishing guides rail against "government regulations" until the fish disappear. Then they demand action.

Why is unemployment so high? Employers realize that anyone can pass high school. They want to hire someone with something between the ears. Improve education and get rid of the grading curves and courtesy promotions.
