Q&A on the News

Q: How many homes do Bill and Hillary Clinton own? What is the estimated value and where are they located?

—Allen Trent, Canton

A: The Clintons own two homes. One is in Washington and the other is in Chappaqua, N.Y.

They bought the 5,500-square-foot brick home in Washington, which is called “Whitehaven,” for $2.85 million in 2001, but it was worth $5.6 million in February, The Hill reported.

The home is near the Naval Observatory and is where Hillary Clinton sometimes holds planning or Clinton Foundation meetings.

The Clintons also held a fundraiser there last fall, and the home was the setting for Hillary Clinton’s televised interview with Diane Sawyer in June 2014.

They paid $1.7 million for the five-bedroom white Dutch colonial farmhouse in Chappaqua, N.Y., when they bought it in 1999.

The home, which is more than 100 years old, last appraised for $1.8 million, the Washington Post reported in June 2014.

Q: One of my favorite commercials is a Delta ad that features a lone male traveler in different situations. Is there a way to identify the actor and his great performance?

—Janie Estfan, Sandy Springs

A: Daniel London portrays the traveler in the commercial created for Delta by Wieden + Kennedy.

London has acted in a variety of stage, movie and TV roles in his career, including portraying Truman in “Patch Adams” and Wally the Caretaker in “Minority Report.”

He reportedly reprises the role of Wally for the TV show “Minority Report,” which debuts on Fox this fall.
