Q: Why aren’t the Arena Football League and the Georgia Force playing this year?

— Gordon Mattox, Decatur

A: The 14-team Arena Football League is scheduled to begin its regular season on March 23, but the Georgia Force folded last September and will not field a team. "The market never responded to our extensive marketing and sales campaign," team president Corey Remillard said at the time. "With all of the outreach, marketing, community and public relations that we put forward, it would have been impossible to not know that we were playing here, and the city simply did not respond. Atlanta is simply not a football town." Doug MacGregor, one of the owners of the Force, said last fall he was looking to sell the team to a local owner. MacGregor is based in Colorado. The original Georgia Force folded in 2008, but MacGregor and fellow owner Donn Jennings brought a team from Huntsville, Ala., and it played the 2011 and 2012 seasons at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Force averaged 4,658 fans in 2011 and 4,242 last year.

Q: You wrote that the Budweiser ad featuring the Clydesdale was the top commercial of the Super Bowl, according to viewers. Which commercials finished second, third, fourth and fifth?

— Jayne Shaydet, Woodstock

A: Tide's "Miracle Stain," a 60-second ad about a stain in the shape of Joe Montana's face on a fan's jersey, was second in USA Today's Ad Meter results. It was followed by Dodge Ram's "Farmers," featuring Paul Harvey's commentary about farmers, Doritos' "Fashionista Dad" and Jeep's "Families Waiting."
