Q: What happened to Wisdom Jeffery, the man who murdered his wife Corrissa Friends in 2010 and kidnapped their 8-month-old baby girl? He was arrested in Cleveland in 2012, but I don’t know if he was tried, convicted or jailed.
—Marcia Neary, Marietta
A: Jeffery was sentenced to life without parole on Dec. 18, 2012, after being found guilty of murdering Friends in her Riverdale apartment on Aug. 11, 2010. Jeffery fled the state after shooting Friends and was on the run when he was featured on "America's Most Wanted." That helped lead to his arrest by U.S. marshals in February 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was held before he was returned to Georgia.
Jeffery is serving his sentence at Hancock State Prison in Sparta, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Q: I live in an area of Atlanta that is now considered part of Brookhaven. It announced that the post office will recognize Brookhaven as a valid address for ZIP codes 30319 and 30329. I do not wish to change my address and prefer to continue using Atlanta. Will the post office continue to deliver my mail to my Atlanta address?
—Barbara Wojhoski, Atlanta
A: Brookhaven residents who live in ZIP codes 30319 and 30329 can continue to use Atlanta as their city of residence, a U.S. Postal Service spokesman told Q&A on the News in an email. They have the option of changing to Brookhaven. There will be "no delay in the processing or delivery of their mail" for those who keep Atlanta, he wrote.
