Q: I want to know where I can call or alert someone about this IRS scam. I was called the other day and I want to report this so no one else is fooled by it.

—Barbara Trater, East Point

A: Contact the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) at 800-366-4484 or fill out the form at treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml.

You can also contact the Federal Trade Commission at ftccomplaintassistant.gov.

The IRS will not call to “demand immediate payment or call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill.”

The IRS – on IRS.gov — states it will not:

  • Demand a payment without providing a chance for you "to question or appeal the amount they say you owe."
  • "Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes." That includes a prepaid debit card.
  • "Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone."
  • Threaten to arrest you "for not paying."

—Helen Moore, Stone Mountain

A: Trump has three living siblings — sisters Maryanne Trump Barry, a federal judge, and Elizabeth Trump Grau, and younger brother Robert.

Another brother — Fred Trump Jr. (Freddy), who was an airline pilot — died in 1981. He was eight years older than Donald.

Trump’s father, Fred Trump, died in 1999, at the age of 93, and his mother, Mary Trump, died in 2000.
