Q: According to Facebook, a man named Jonathan Gruber has been admitting that the Obama administration lied in order to get Obamacare passed. Is there any truth to this? I have seen nothing in the AJC.

—Robert W. Peppel, Tucker

A: Gruber, an economist who was part of the team that crafted the Affordable Healthcare Act, referred to as Obamacare, has been shown in several videos where he "mocks the 'stupidity' of American voters and boasts of the Obama administration's ability to take advantage of it," the Washington Post reported.

In a video that surfaced Nov. 14, Gruber, who is an economics professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was hired as a consultant by the Obama administration, explained that the “Cadillac Tax” on high-value employer health plans was passed because it was mislabeled. It was called “a tax on insurance plans rather than a tax on people, when we know it’s a tax on people who hold these insurance plans.”

Q: Why isn’t the handsome man named John doing the news or “High Q” on Saturdays? I miss him very much.

—Jean Stone, Doraville

A: John Bachman left WSB-TV in July to be the primary evening anchor at WAWS TV-30 and WTEV TV-47, a combination of CBS and Fox, in Jacksonville, Fla. Bachman had been at WSB-TV since 2007, but Justin Farmer is the main male evening anchor at WSB-TV. "It's a great opportunity but we will be sad to leave Atl!!!," Bachman tweeted in July.

Meteorologist Katie Walls, who was hired this summer, is the new host of “High Q,” a quiz show showcasing teams of high school students from schools around the state.
