Q: My mother was treated years ago at the Grady cancer clinic. Does that still exist?

—Barbara Turner, Newnan

A: The Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence at Grady is in a $28 million facility that "provides highly attentive care to cancer patients," according to its website (www.gradycancer.org). The $3.3 million Avon Breast Health Center also is part of the center, which is on the ninth and 10th floors of Grady Memorial Hospital. Grady's first cancer center, the Steiner Clinic, was established in 1923 and "was a model for future cancer centers throughout the country."

Q: I would like to know who pays for Michelle Obama and her two daughters’ clothes?

—Geraldine Dunne, Johns Creek

A: Michelle Obama's wardrobe and the daughters' clothes are a personal expense, according to published reports, but she often receives designer clothes to wear to lavish events, such as balls and state dinners. Obama has been spotted wearing both expensive designer labels and more modestly priced outfits from Banana Republic, J. Crew, Gap and Target, according to published reports. She often confers with Chicago boutique owner Ikram Goldman on wardrobe choices. Obama wore a $6,800 jacket from American designer J. Mendel to a reception at Buckingham Palace prior to the Olympics. The dress she wore during her speech at the Democratic National Convention, which was designed by Tracy Reese, cost $1,990, but her pumps were from J. Crew, according to The New York Times. Sasha Obama, 11, wore a hand-me-down dress from older sister Malia, 14, on election night.
