Q: I knew Colony Square was undergoing renovations, but was surprised on a recent visit to find the extent of the renovations is considerable. When is completion expected and, in the interim, are there alternatives for parking there, as much of the parking space has been sacrificed to construction equipment?

B. ANDREW PLANT, ATLANTA

A: The multiphased transformation of Colony Square is slated to be complete in May 2020, according to the public relations firm representing Colony Square.

Colony Square’s garage has three levels open for visitor parking; portions of each level are blocked off due to construction. Public parking options are Campanile on 14th Street, Proscenium garage on Crescent Avenue and 1180 Peachtree. A couple of surface lots are within a block or two of the building.

A ride-share lane also recently opened off Peachtree Street near the MIDTOWN letters, a sculpture on Peachtree, near 15th Street.

Q: I don’t know who my state senator is and I’m not sure where to find that info.

WALLY WEIHE, GAINESVILLE

A: Go to openstates.org/find_your_legislator and type in your address. This site also lists all the state senators in Georgia for the 2019-2020 session: www.senate.ga.gov/senators/en-US/SenateMembersList.aspx
