Tom Coburn, R-Okla., released a report earlier this month that stated the Pentagon could save $10.7 billion a year if it closed the 64 elementary and secondary schools it operates on 16 military facilities in the U.S., according to The Associated Press. The cost for the 19,000 students is more than $50,000 per student, compared with the national average of about $11,000 per student, according to the report.

Benioff, who is also the chairman of the tech company he founded, helped raise more than $500,000 for Obama's campaign by hosting a fundraiser that was $35,800 a plate. Benioff also contributed $10,000 to Paul Ryan's political action committee, according to CNN.com. "My approach to politics is that I'm not a Democrat or a Republican," Benioff said. "I'm an American, and I always support candidates I think are great for the country."
