Q: I recently drove down Cheshire Bridge Road and noticed a large domed structure under construction. Do you have any information on the structure and its purpose?

A: The structure under construction is a storage facility capable of holding 10 million gallons of sewer overflow that collect in pipes near Peachtree Creek, a city of Atlanta spokesman told Q&A on the News in an email. "The sewer overflows will be diverted to a dedicated pump station and the storage facility," he wrote. "When the pipes near Peachtree Creek are no longer at full capacity, the sewer overflows from the storage facility will be released back into the system." The Liddell Drive Equalization project is on city property bordering the CSX rail right-of-way and Liddell Drive, and built to comply with the federal consent decree mandates. Construction, which began last March, is about 60 percent complete, he wrote.
Q: As far as number of viewers, how did Jay Leno’s farewell “The Tonight Show” broadcast compare to that of Johnny Carson?

A: About 14.6 million people watched Leno's final show as host of "The Tonight Show" on Feb. 6. The show earned a 9.2 rating among households and a 22 share, and it was Leno's largest audience since Jerry Seinfeld appeared as a guest the night of the series finale of "Seinfeld" in 1998. Carson's final show was watched by an estimated 50 million people on May 22, 1992, according to Biography.com. Jimmy Fallon is taking over as host of "The Tonight Show" on Monday. Leno had been host since 1992, except when Conan O'Brien hosted for an eight-month stretch in 2009-10.
