Q: Sometime ago, there was talk about Michael Douglas appearing in a movie about the life of Liberace? What is the latest on that?

—Jean Higgins, Atlanta

A: Douglas stars as Liberace in "Behind the Candelabra," a Steven Soderbergh-directed movie that will air on HBO in May. The movie is based on a book by Scott Thorson – Liberace's longtime lover – called "Behind the Candelabra: My Life With Liberace" that was published in 1988. Matt Damon plays Thorson in the film, which also stars Rob Lowe and Dan Ackroyd. Soderbergh said he turned to HBO to make the movie after the major studios turned down the project. "Nobody would make it. We went to everybody in town," Soderbergh has said. "… Nobody would do it."

Q: What happened to the local high school football coach who exposed himself?

—Eddie Webster, Dallas

A: Reginald Burnette resigned as football coach at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in mid-February. He was arrested on Jan. 29 in an east Cobb subdivision for allegedly exposing himself to a woman, which is a misdemeanor. Burnette, who played three years for the NFL's Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was placed on leave prior to his resignation. Burnette's alleged crime did not involve Mount Vernon students or school employees, the AJC reported. Mount Vernon is in Sandy Springs.
