A snapshot of Atlanta City Hall hopefuls’ campaign finance reports

With Atlanta’s municipal elections less than a month away, candidates have filed their latest campaign finance reports detailing how much cash they can spend to sway voters in the final weeks.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed remains the city’s top fundraiser, picking up roughly $605,000 this quarter alone in donations. The mayor, who faces little competition, carries $2 million in cash into his re-election bid. (He has raised nearly $5.9 million.)

If money is any indication — and money always is — his challengers have little chance of unseating him. According to campaign records, Al Bartell reported $0 in his account, Glenn Wrightson’s third quarter report was not filed and Fraser Duke’s report was filed, but not immediately available online. Candidates had until Monday to file without incurring late fees.

The mayor may not face a credible challenge, but the same can’t be said for all members of the Atlanta City Council. Below is a snapshot of what each candidate has in cash for a shot at City Hall.
