Hall County authorities resumed searching Tuesday for a woman who possibly drowned near Big Creek Park in Lake Lanier Sunday night.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office dive team, along with rangers from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, were using radar, “attempting to locate anything in the water,’ said sheriff’s Deputy Nicole Bailes.

The woman, whose name has not been released, “was last seen jumping off a boat around 8:20 last night,” Bailes said Tuesday. “The swimmer did not surface after jumping into the lake.”
