RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A spokesman says Richmond International Airport has been evacuated after a threatening phone call was received.

Airport spokesman Troy Bell says the call was received shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The airport says in a posting on Twitter that K-9 teams were brought in to sweep the terminal. A sweep of one of the airport's two concourses has been completed and nothing was found.

The parking decks also were checked and cleared, and passengers were allowed to go to their vehicles and leave the airport.
