One of the eight "Party Down South" cast members who made Athens their red neck play ground earlier this year was recently investigated following a rape allegation.

Athens authorities said they determined the accusation was unfounded, but did not give specifics about how they came to their conclusion, the Athens Banner-Herald reported.

A woman initially told police she believed she had been given date-rape drugs and was sexually assaulted while partying with the Country Music Television stars at their Oak Grove Road residence back in April, according to documents obtained by the Banner-Herald. She said she remembers being handed an open beer and then nothing until she woke up naked.

The woman told police she did not have enough to drink to make her completely blackout.

A sexual assault nurse said findings of the woman’s examination initially appeared consistent with a sexual assault, according to the paper.

Police executed search warrants for the house and local bars as well as one for the cast member’s DNA. They also interviewed another woman who was at the house at the same time, but but later determined no crime had been committed.
