Perdue’s dodge on Trump comments cowardly

I hope Georgians of all parties, races, and faiths give our junior Senator Perdue a figurative “whack upside the head” for his evident lack of backbone in objecting to President Trump’s “(expletive) countries” comment. Saying he did not hear it in a small meeting where almost everyone else acknowledged the comment in some form is a cheap and cowardly dodge.

Georgia and its citizens have long held a positive leadership role in uniting the races and religions in a common cause. Yet this is but another example of Sen. Perdue supporting divisive language and programs coming from the White House.

I hope the Georgia Republican Party begins a search for a more unifying, caring and inspiring candidate who more properly reflects the values and aspirations of my fellow Georgians to replace Sen. Perdue when he is up for re-election.

American people will stick with Trump

Describing such countries as Haiti as “(expletive)-holes” has to make one wonder what is going on inside the brain of Donald Trump. Nothing good can come from this kind of language.

The fact remains, however, that the American people have been fighting for 30 years against an immigration policy which has served special interests, has been an affirmative action program for the Third World, and which could have been designed by Larry, Curly and Moe. Immigration policy in America is so irrational it borders on insanity.

Will the American people abandon Trump for inappropriate language and vulgarity? No. They have seen far too many words and far too little action. Trump actually believes that problems can be attacked and solved, as opposed to nibbling around their edges, avoiding hard decision-making, then covering them with euphemistic blather.
