It is the screen any Windows user hates seeing, but there's a change ahead for the Windows 10 "Blue Screen of Death."
The sad ASCII smiley is still there, but Microsoft added a QR square.
The graphic is programmed with a URL that takes you to a webpage explaining why your computer crashed.
It only goes to one page, windows.com/stopcode, but could have more detailed information than what users normally get, The Register reported.
The new feature isn't on the list of upgrades recently released by Microsoft, but it was given to testers last week. Word quickly spread on Reddit.
Other upgrades expected in the newest release: new emojis, detailed battery use monitor and a handful of fixes.
