“I'm absolutely disgusted,” said a parent who didn’t want to be identified. “It gave me a wake-up call because after I heard about it, it was already at least a week later."

The private school's headmaster sent a letter to parents saying two students are being "separated" from the school after one of the students brought marijuana-laced cookies to campus and sold them to a second student.

The letter does not tell the whole story a Marietta police spokesman said Thursday.

The spokesman says a student consumed one of the cookies off-campus, then had to go to the hospital.

One parent said the letter from the school was not enough.

"The letter was all about discipline, or lack of discipline.  It didn't address drugs in the school,” the parent said.

Other parents are sounding off on Facebook. At least one wants the students expelled and the police involved.

The school headmaster’s office said they contacted police and were told to handle the incident internally, since there was no proof the drugs were ever on campus. The school did not elaborate when it said the two students involved in the incident on campus were separated from the school.

"If these children go out and do that outside of school, they will be in jail,” a parent said.
