A new officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office received quite a welcome Tuesday morning.

JSO Officer Larry Taylor, who is new to the force, just got his own police car. While on call in Zone Four, Taylor was met by a tail-wagging friend.

The dog ran and jumped into the passenger seat of the cruiser while the door was open, JSO said. The dog made herself comfortable while waiting for her owner.

The owner came and retrieved the dog after she got to spend some time with Taylor as he worked on a police report.
