A rare type of orca was captured on video feeding off the coast of California this week.
According to Monterey Count Weekly, a commercial whale watching cruise took a ride around Monterey Bay and happened upon a pod of orcas known as offshore killer whales.
According to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation, offshore whales are the most elusive type of killer whales. Very little is know about them because they are so rarely seen.
Drone photographer Slater Moor was on board the whale watching cruise Tuesday and managed to captured the rare sight on video.
