The grieving mother of a Florida man is searching for a woman who sent her son a heartfelt text message a few days after he died. Now, social media is spreading the word to #FindMegan.

Matthew Nichols died unexpectedly in his parents' home seven months ago, according to Florida Today. Described as a "gentle giant" by his parents, Nichols also had a mysterious admirer who texted him days after his death.

Although Nichols' cell phone plan was cancelled for months, his  mother plugged in the phone two weeks ago and a text message suddenly appeared on the screen, according to Florida Today columinst John A. Torres, who is also Nichols' brother-in-law.

According to Torres, part of the message read:

"Well, I found your obituary. I still don't know how or why though. All I know is you're gone. I love you, and I have thought about you every single day. I hope your spirit finds its way to your ultimate happiness. I want to talk to you. I wish this was all a joke."

Trish Nichols later discovered that the message was from a woman named Megan and tried to call her, but the phone was disconnected.

In efforts to connect with Megan over her son's passing, Trish Nichols wrote a classified ad that reads: "Megan, friend of Matt Nichols, please contact me, Matt's mom, at trishnichols10@yahoo.com and leave a contact number."

“There were so many questions, so much she wanted to know,” Torres wrote. “Megan is out there somewhere and now I feel compelled to find her, to introduce her to a woman whose heart aches for just one more story, one more memory, one more minute living in the breath of her son's life.”
