If you are going to miss school, you’d better return with a note and a good excuse.
Ollie Olsen, 9, succeeded on both counts, with the help of Democratic front-runner for president Hillary Clinton.
Olsen attended a Clinton campaign stop with his mother and grandfather. He brought along a handwritten letter, addressed to his teacher, which explained why he was missing school.
Olsen wrote, “Dear Mrs. Simons, I’m missing school today because I’m going to meet Hillary.”
To verify that Olsen attended the Clinton rally, he scored Clinton’s signature.
To prove that the signature wasn’t fake, Clinton wrote “Really!” under her signature and posted it on her official Facebook page.
There was no word on whether Olsen’s absence was excused, but the note is quite a conversation piece.
