MARTA trains bound for North Springs are running again after an electrical problem interrupted service during the height of this morning’s commute.

The system set up a “bus bridge” to shuttle Red line passengers between the Lindbergh and Medical Center stations after the electrical problem that occurred at 7:20 a.m., according to MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris.

Harris told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the interruptions lasted about 40 minutes, and that regular train service on the Red Line resumed around 8 a.m.

Harris did not say what caused the electrical problem.
