Man loses several fingers in July 4 fireworks explosion

A man was taken to the hospital after a firework exploded in his hand Tuesday night in Quincy, Massachusetts.

According to the Quincy Police Department, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Agawam Road.

The victim said he tried to light a firework in his hand and the firework went off.

The victim was brought to a Boston hospital by ambulance and is reported to have lost several fingers.
