Woodstock officials are finishing up a package of improvements to Dupree Park, the city’s main active-use facility off of Neese Road, that were begun last fall.

Parks and Recreation Director Preston Pooser said crews have just finished installing exercise equipment along the park’s one-third-mile fitness trail that was completed late last year. He said a new pavilion will be completed in the next couple of weeks next to the trail and to recently upgraded restrooms.

An 18-hole disc golf course is also being installed, and will be finished in July. Crews also refurfaced the park’s tennis courts.

Pooser said the improvements, which cost around $200,000, were funded by a combination of impact fees and SPLOST funds.
