Woodstock residents can dispose of their Christmas trees and get free ground-up mulch from the city’s “Chip ‘n Dip” program starting Thursday, Dec. 26.

The city will accept trees Dec. 26-Jan. 13 at Olde Rope Mill Park. “Bring a shovel to Rope Mill Park any time from 8 a.m. to dusk to ‘dip’ into the free mulch,” the city said in the Winter 2019-2020 edition of the Towne Hall News.

Additionally, a “Bring One for the Chipper” tree disposal is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the park. The event is sponsored by Keep Georgia Beautiful and the Woodstock Stormwater Department. Participants are asked to remove all lights and decorations from the trees. No artificial trees will be accepted.
