The Christmas holiday has come to an end, and you’re probably wondering how you’re going to dispose of the tree that served as the centerpiece of your decorations.

Keep Cobb Beautiful will once again have the answer with its participation in the annual statewide Bring One for the Chipper program.

Cobb residents can drop off trees through Jan. 18 at the following Home Depot locations:

•3355 Cobb Parkway, Acworth

•1200 East-West Connector, Austell

•2350 Dallas Highway, Marietta

•4101 Roswell Road NE, Marietta

•449 Roberts Court NW, Kennesaw

•3605 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta

•1062 Richard Sailors Parkway, Powder Springs

•1655 Shiloh Road, Kennesaw

You can also drop off trees at four Cobb County parks: Hurt Road Park, 990 Hurt Road, Austell; Sewell Park, 2055 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta; Noonday Creek Park, 489 Hawkins Store Road, Marietta; and Fullers Park, 3499 Robinson Road, Marietta.

Before dropping off trees, residents should strip them of all decorations. Flocked trees are also prohibited, as they are hazardous to wildlife, Keep Cobb Beautiful said.

There is no limit on how many trees can be dropped off. The mulch from trees are used for playgrounds, beautification projects and individual yards. You can receive free mulch by emailing KeepCobbBeautiful@cobbcounty.org.
