In only 76 of Georgia’s 159 counties do baby boomers (born 1945-64) outnumber millennials (born 1980-99).

Indeed, the generation born when their parents came home from World War II — and whose subsequent maturity is linked with the country's defining social characteristics of the '60s, '70s and '80s — are now outnumbered by people young enough to be their grandchildren, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau analysis.

The federal count also says millennials are a more diverse bunch than any previous generation: Some 44 percent of the young’uns report being part of a minority race or ethnic group. Hover over a county for more details.
