DeKalb County will open two of its new senior centers this summer and the third one in the fall.

Each center – in the central, north and southern parts of the county – will be 15,000-square feet and feature activity rooms and meeting rooms. The central and south centers will open in July, while the north center is slated to open in mid-September.

The $11.3 million price tag for all three facilities is being covered with federal block grant money, not local tax dollars.
