Georgia’s honorary Megabus now has a name. Say hello to “Peach State,” the transit company said Wednesday.

In July, the bus company gave online voters three choices for Georgia's bus. Voting has ended, with "Peach State" nudging the other two choices for bus names: "The Empire State of the South" and "The Peanut State."

“Our customers certainly know their home states best and they have selected very fitting names,” Dale Moser, CEO of megabus.com, said in an emailed statement. “This is our way of honoring the people of Georgia and customers of each state that has helped our business to grow.”

The express bus company, which serves Atlanta and Athens, held contests to name buses in each state it services. The names will be revealed during the next two weeks.

An unveiling for Georgia’s bus will be held at a later date, the company said.
