Q: Did Whitney Houston ever perform in Atlanta?

-- Fannette Adams, Marietta

A: Houston, who lived in Atlanta for years, performed here many times, including at Chastain Park Amphitheatre and the Fox Theatre. Peter Conlon, president of Live Nation Atlanta, told the AJC that the last time Houston performed locally was at the Fox about four years ago. Q: Can you provide an update on the investigation of the assault on a Warren County High School football coach with a football helmet after a game against Hancock Central?

-- Robert Henkel, Atlanta

A: On Jan. 25, a Hancock County grand jury decided not to indict anyone involved in the fight between players and coaches following a football game between the schools on Oct. 14. The Augusta Chronicle reviewed a 1,000-page GBI report in which Warren County football coach David Daniel denied starting the brawl. Daniel's eye socket was damaged and metal plates were inserted in his head to repair injuries sustained in the fight. He is still bothered by headaches. Daniel plans to file a civil suit, the Chronicle reported, and to continue coaching. "I've never been a quitter," he told the paper. "I ain't going to quit now. We can't teach our kids that."
