Esther Basnet is unhappy over the aftermath of a water main break.
“More than two weeks ago there was a main water break in front of our house at 5157 Antelope Lane (next to the street) and as a result water gushed out for several hours until the watershed crew came and fixed it,” she wrote.
Basnet said the problem now is the aftermath of this issue and we are now left with a destroyed lawn and dug out mud all over the street and the lawn.
“Despite emails and phone calls, the watershed management office has not sent anyone to deal with this mess. All I want is to get back my lawn as it was. Perhaps the repair team needed to run their tractor on our lawn to fix the problem, but the lawn is totally destroyed and we are left with an awful landscape,” she added.
DeKalb officials said the issue has been resolved.

Gary Marx says something needs to be done about the intersection of West Marietta Street and Marietta Boulevard, going south on Marietta Boulevard.
“Because the right lane is able to turn left, and the left lane says left only, the backup at rush hour is horrible. Many people go straight in the left lane illegally anyway. The light is also green too long for West Marietta Street,” he wrote.

Art Chapple hopes something can be done about an unsightly power pole in Atlanta.
“(This) device is hanging over the sidewalk from a power pole at 330 Hillside Drive NW. He said he has made calls to different jurisdictions, but has not received any answers. We sent the issue and got a response back from the city.
“The transformer belongs to an outside utility company and not Georgia Power. DPW has reached out to Georgia Power to see if they can identify the company,” officials said.
