Barbara Barnhart has an issue with a sidewalk.
“This sidewalk which is down the street from Midvale Elementary School has been like this for years and is continuing to get worse. Someone, not sure whether it was the county or a concerned citizen, put tape and cones around it so no one would fall. Now, kids walking to and from school and people walking in the neighborhood, must walk in the street to get around it. Can something be done about this? It’s such a safety hazard!” she wrote.
We sent the issue to DeKalb County and will let you know the outcome.

Update: Roswell (Fulton)
Last month we told you about Mike Jaeggi’s issue with water running down the street.
“I live in Roswell and there is a broken water main that has been flooding the road since December that still has not been fixed. I have contacted Fulton County water several times and was told ‘we will look into it’ but it still leaks,” Jaeggi said.
He added the leak is at the corner of Hembree Road and Crabapple Road in Roswell. We heard back from Fulton County.
“The Fulton County Public Works Department has dispatched crews to the area a multitude of times. In particular, they have been out at this site several times over the past two weeks and in just the last day as well. They have observed and tested the water that is flowing into the street,” wrote the county’s communications division manager Darryl Carver.
“Thus far, those tests have come back negative for the presence of chlorine, which we add to water to disinfect. That led our staff to believe that it did not originate from our potable water system. Since the water does not contain chlorine, it is believed to be ground water. Given the extremely wet winter, the ground water table has risen throughout North Fulton, therefore it would not be uncommon for surface water to be emanating from the ground. We are still monitoring conditions in the area to ensure the safety of residents in that community,” he added.
