Take to task for Sept. 7

New item-Roswell

Dick Nolan hopes something can be done about a messy situation in Roswell.

“This needed repair is at the southeast corner of Holcomb Bridge Road and Steeplechase Drive in Roswell. The problem, which has existed for over a year, is when heavy trucks are unable to negotiate a right turn onto Holcomb Bridge Road and jump the curb collapsing the entire cement sewer section. Note the four crushed safety cones. Tire tracks are also visible and dangerously close to the telephone pole,” Nolan wrote.

We sent the item to the city and will keep you updated.

Fixed! DeKalb County

In August, we told you about the car stopping line on Frazier Road when it intersects LaVista Road. Mark Trott said the line needed to be moved further back so the cars turning left onto Frazier Road do not have to make such a sharp left turn and the cars turning right onto Frazier Road do not have to make such a sharp right turn.

“A few days after the ask, we moved the stop bark back and reset the signal timing,” wrote Burke Brennan, who serves as the county’s chief communications officer.

In August we told you about a bad pothole on Hosea Williams Drive.

“This hole has existed on Hosea Williams for many months now. It is located near 1929 Hosea Williams in the eastbound lane. It is right next to the bike lane. Any assistance getting this fixed will be greatly appreciated,”said Michael Wakefield.

We sent the item to the city and will let you know the outcome.

We learned from city officials the city filled the hole with a concrete base Aug 21 and topped it with asphalt
