A reader hopes something can be done about a inappropriate placing of concrete.
“This giant slab at Austin Avenue and Moreland Avenue has broken loose and is now resting in the traffic lane. Several unsuspecting drivers have already hit it. Can you please do something about it?” wrote Ken Taber.

Eva Somer Belle wants something done about a flashing light.
“On McLendon Avenue by the Candler Park entrance is a school zone flashing light which has been out of operation for about nine months. I have personally complained to Atlanta 311, but as of yet no repairs. The light remains broken. It is a matter of safety for our young elementary children. Drivers tend to speed right through the area endangering young school children,” Belle wrote.
She added the light is supposed to indicate when 25 mph is the speed limit.
“I think it is an urgent matter. We live in a walking community, and we need safety to be a priority,” Belle said.

A reader wants something done about a caution light at the intersection of 10th Street and Argonne Avenue in Midtown at Piedmont Park.
“This light has been out for weeks. This is a dangerous and busy intersection. It has a great deal of pedestrian traffic, especially on weekends. Drivers routinely ignore pedestrians in the cross walks. The caution light needs to be working. I do note that there is one of the new ‘on demand’ crossing lights further down the block but it is in the middle of the block and seems to be primarily for the Children’s School,”wrote Bruce Garner.
He said this type of light would have made much more sense at the 10th and Argonne intersection rather than in the middle of a short block.
“It’s teaching children to cross in the middle of the block! They are not always going to have such a light, so they are not learning how to properly cross at intersections,” he added.
