K.P. Mautner hopes something can be done about an intersection that has gotten even busier.

“With the I-85 mess, the situation at the intersection of Adina Drive and Morosgo Drive (just above Lindbergh Drive near Piedmont) has become critical. The four-way stop has a right-turn only lane southbound on Adina, but it is misleadingly striped,” Mautner wrote

Mauntner said the traffic at this intersection has increased astronomically as commuters use it as a “short-cut” to avoid the backup on Sidney Marcus.

“The ignorant and the arrogant who attempt to use the right-turn only lane to bully through into the narrowing Adina Drive are creating a hazardous situation both for drivers and pedestrians. The intersection needs either a clearly-posted ‘right lane must turn right’ sign or some clearer striping to indicate that this lane must turn. The neighborhood has talked to the city, the district, and the police with no response or action,” Mautner added.

We sent the issue to the city and will keep you updated.

Joel McMahon hopes a busy stretch of road gets fixed soon.

“Please send your team to the 3300 block of Piedmont Road in Buckhead. Heading from Lenox Road toward Roswell Road on Piedmont, right in front of Piedmont Center, there are many potholes, but two in particular are the result of ‘repairs’ to the road. It is impossible for a car to avoid the two potholes because they are side-by-side, exactly the width apart of a car axle,” he wrote.

We sent the item to the DOT to see if it can get fixed.

Fixed! DeKalb County

Last week, we told you about Pat Morris’s pothole problem in DeKalb County.

“There are many, but at least three potholes are ‘swerve to avoid and get into the oncoming lane toward the end of Houston Mill Road as it runs into Lavista Road. Houston Mill is a disgrace, and with the removal of the dividers so vehicles can turn right on red, traffic backs up almost to Mason Mill on some days,” Morris wrote.

We got a quick response back from the county.

“The potholes were taken care of, but the road requires milling and patching. The contractor’s schedule for mill patch to this area is about 60 to 90 days out,” said DeKalb’s communications manager Andrew Cauthen.
