Mike North wants something done about a hole in the street.

“At least three months ago, there was a water leak under the street. The water department came out and fixed the leak and a day or two later a work crew came out to plant the grass and do a final clean up. The truck they were driving dropped through the asphalt creating this hole,” he wrote.

North said he’s contacted leaders in the government and have been told they would pass the info along to someone else, but nothing has happened.

“We still have this ugly hole. All they have done is put the cones and the tape you see in the picture attached.”

We sent the information to our contact in DeKalb County and will keep you updated.

Sally Toye is tired of seeing water wasted.

“Will you please ask someone to look into a spewing fire hydrant on Roswell Road in front of the Buckhead Theater? I first noticed fout weeks ago while attending an event, and then noticed again while passing by. Terrible waste of precious, expensive water,” she wrote.

Harry Shuman wants something done about a busy street downtown.

“Peachtree Center Avenue is a one-way street northbound. However, at the intersection of Ellis and Peachtree Center Avenue there are no ‘One-way’ signs or arrows anywhere. This presents a dangerous situation in that vehicles traveling east on Ellis might easily turn south on Peachtree Center Avenue before realizing they are on a one-way street due to the lack of proper signage. I know this because I almost did that exact thing March 8 while driving downtown,” he wrote.

We sent his concern to the public works department and will let you know when it gets fixed. Officials at the department said readers can also log on to www.atl311.comto request a service repair.
