A resident is concerned over a pothole on Marietta Road near Adams Drive that has deteriorated.
“It was reported to Commissioner Mendoza back in September. A neighbor also reported it to the city of Atlanta via 311. She received a reply almost a week later stating it had been repaired. The photo was taken a few days ago, clearly it hasn’t been repaired. It’s grown into a monster sinkhole and drivers have to veer into the oncoming lane to avoid it,” wrote Karyn Hudson. We sent the item to the city and will keep you posted.

A reader hopes something can be done about a traffic island.
“The southwest corner of Freedom Parkway and Boulevard is home to a traffic island that hosts part of the crosswalk. The island has been roped off and ‘under construction’ for many months, with no visible sign of any work for at least the last three months. This makes the crosswalk unusable and forces pedestrians and cyclists to make a tricky maneuver while crossing at a place where motorists turning off of Freedom Parkway (and there are many) don’t expect to see crossers,” wrote Bob Riordan.

A reader has a beef with the signage on Interstate 85 north.
“My commute is from the Canton Road exit in Cobb to Buford Highway. The signage on I-75 South is very clear as you get near Northside/Howell Mill Road in that each lane has an arrow over the lane so it’s clear that people heading south on 75 need to move right, etc. and people heading north on 85 need to get in the left two lanes. When you make the transition to 85 North, I find that people don’t understand that the far right lane is exit only for Buford Connector cq or the adjacent lane(s) are for 400 North so you have a lot of last-minute lane changes,” wrote Bo Wagner.
We sent his item to the DOT and will let you know if any signage can be changed or added..
