New item-Atlanta

A pesky pothole has Michael Wakefield concerned.

“This hole has existed on Hosea Williams Drive for many months now. It is located near 1929 Hosea Williams in the eastbound lane. As you can see it is right next to the bike lane. Any assistance getting this fixed will be greatly appreciated,” he wrote.

We sent the item to the city and will let you know the outcome.

New item-DeKalb County

Gerald Padgett is tired of running the gauntlet in DeKalb County.

“There are 18 pot holes on Montreal Road between Lawrenceville Highway and Lavista Road. They have been here for three months. I have counted five hub caps along side the road—-will it take a law suit to get these pot holes repaired? Hope not!,” he said.

We sent the item to the county and will let you know when we have an answer.

Update-Atlanta

Earlier this month, we told you about Ann Ferretti’s complaint about metal plates in one of the city’s premier areas.

“About two weeks ago, the city placed two large metal plates on Lenox Road on the bridge over the rail road tracks as you approach East Paces Ferry Road towards Lenox Square. One of these things has broken free of the material that’s supposed to keep it in place until the pavement underneath is repaired,” she wrote.

We heard back from the city.

“The city’s crew placed the metal plates down because the bridge has a hole that needs repairing. The plates will remain on the hole as a safety precaution until work to repair the hole can begin. Currently, we are in the bidding process for the repair work, but the work will begin as soon as possible after this process is complete. In the interim, crews will return to the site to determine if the plate has shifted and will reset the plate if needed,” said a public works spokesperson.
