Stockbridge using freebies to draw shoppers on Small Business Saturday

Stockbridge is hoping the prospect of free merchandise and gift certificates will draw shoppers to its small businesses on Saturday.

In promoting Small Business Saturday this weekend, the Henry County city says some participating stores will be giving away stamps to shoppers when purchasing merchandise.

Shoppers with five tickets will be entered into a grand prize drawing for free merchandise and gift certificates from participating merchants.

To participant, shoppers need a shopping passport, which is available at Stockbridge City Hall and at local participating Stockbridge businesses. The shopping passports can also be found online at

"The Stockbridge Small Business Saturday provides an awesome opportunity for area businesses to highlight their products and services, " said C & L Family Salon owner Linda Jones. "My business has participated for several years and I am pleased to take part in the national initiative.”
